How to Create Online Surveys Using Google Docs

Until recently, the average internet user has to do surveys the brick-and-mortar way. A lot of times, email is used to do the survey. Once the survey results come back, consolidation work is no different from summarizing stacks of paper.

Google has cut all the crap by introducing Forms in Google Docs. You would not believe it's that easy. In fact, you may have filled up such form a few days ago on a site you visited, without realizing it.

Google focuses on gathering the data. You focus on interpreting and using the data. All you have to do is tell Google what to do.

The following slides show you a step-by-step process of creating your own survey and then automatically gathering the answers into one Google spreadsheet.

If you have questions, suggestions or feedback please do not hesitate to leave a message in the comments box below. Polite messages would be greatly appreciated. I'd be delighted to answer within 72 hours.

Have a great day!

  1. Almost everyone can take advantage of Google Forms: businesses, schools, research companies, students, even churches. Either one posts the form in a website, which will then be open to anyone. Or, one may target the forms more sharply by sending the form to specific email addresses.

What's fantastic about it is, it's Free, and you have full control of the data. After all, data gets collected in your own account in Google.
